MindMap Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MindMap handles information when you use the app, website, support channels, or related services. We design our products to collect only the information needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service.
Information We Collect
Depending on the features you choose to use, we may process:
- Account and contact information: the email address or phone number you provide for registration, sign-in, verification codes, password reset, or account deletion.
- User identifiers: a server-assigned user ID used to separate account data, associate cloud documents with their owner, and provide account entitlements.
- User content: mind map titles, topics, notes, structures, relationships, attachments, images, imported file content, AI prompts and generated results, and Pitch content you choose to publish.
- Support information: information you provide when contacting support, reporting content, or submitting feedback.
Local drafts stay on your device by default. Relevant content is sent to the servers or service providers required for a feature only when you choose to sign in and sync, upload an image or attachment, use AI, publish a Pitch, export, or share.
How We Use Information
- To create and protect accounts and provide sign-in, verification, password reset, and account deletion.
- To store, synchronize, and restore cloud mind maps, attachments, and published content.
- When you request an AI action, to send the prompt and selected mind map content needed for that action to an AI service provider and return the generated result to you.
- To create a public page for a Pitch you choose to publish and support revocation, reports, abuse prevention, and service security.
- To respond to support requests, fix problems, and comply with legal obligations.
Public Pitch Content
When you confirm Pitch publication, a publication snapshot becomes available through a public URL and may be viewed by anyone who receives that URL. Publish only content you have the right to share and do not include personal information you do not want to make public. You can revoke publication in the app.
Service Providers and Sharing
We do not sell personal information, use it for cross-app tracking, or use it for advertising. To provide features you choose, we may allow contracted cloud hosting, object storage, email or SMS verification, and AI service providers to process the data necessary for hosting, synchronization, delivery, security, or generating the AI result you requested.
Data Retention and Deletion
Local drafts remain until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Account data, cloud documents, attachments, and publication records are retained while needed to provide the service. You may delete content, revoke a Pitch, or request account deletion in the app. Account deletion removes or de-identifies data associated with the account, except for limited records retained for legal, security, dispute-resolution, or backup-cycle requirements.
Your Choices
You may use local editing without signing in and choose whether to synchronize, upload, use AI, or publish. You can manage file, photo, or network permissions in your operating system settings and contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of account data.
Children
MindMap is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
